Known rules of Connections
- Usually, the Connection happens during the Dreamer's sleep, in which case the Convalescent invades their current dream and become part of it. As such, the Dreamer's state of mind might be altered depending on their dream, such as acting as a princess or being scared by their surrounding.
- There has been an instance where a Connection happened while the Dreamer was awake. (Source)
- A Dreamer can get Connected if they are impaired due to drugs. (Source)
- Each Connection starts with a "CONNECTING..." message and ends with a "DISCONNECTED." message.
- Connections are started by Raine, and Raine can freely talk to the Dreamer during Connections.
- Sometimes, Raine chooses the next connection by rolling a dice.
- Connections can be stopped at any moment, usually by the Dreamer waking up. It is impossible to know how long a Connection will last, but some Dreamers are able to feel in advance when it is about to end.
- So far, only one Dreamer appeared in each Connection.
- Dreamers can only be Players or Gamemasters. However, they do not have to be a Player or Gamemaster at the time of the Connection. (Source)
- The Convalescent will appear to the Dreamer as a crowd of statues moving too quickly to grasp any detail and sometimes glowing.
- The Sun Gamemaster will have each of their dialogue starting with the
[SUN] :
tag, while the Moon Gamemaster will have each of their dialogue starting with the[MOON] :
tag. - At the end of a Connection, if the Dreamer was a Player, a gif of a cat with the caption "Here comes the something" representing them will be posted (Source)
- Some words said by the Dreamer might get censored. The Dreamer is not conscious of this phenomenon. (Source 1 Source 2)
- When multiple members of the Convalescent speak at the same time, it may have adversarial effects on the Dreamer such as a headache or panic.
- If the Connection takes too much time, the Dreamer will wake up with a headache.
Tips during Connections
- The Dreamer seems to have a hard time understanding when too many people speak at the same time. As such, it is better to limit the number of speakers as long as the discussion is at the investigation stage.
- Some Dreamers might be in a panicked state, or might not know what is going on. For those, an example explanation speech has been written to quickly reassure them and explain the situation. Adapt depending on the context.
