Ominous Whisperer
Released December 15th, 2019
This game seeming changed since the developer's original vision. The monologue at the beginning by the developer is very heartfelt and somber about the friend he lost, talking about how the direction of these games changed since then, and how an "unnamed youtuber" played this game and "hated" it.
Although it was never explicitly stated, this was actually Markiplier.
I truly do feel for the developer for this game..
I also respect them even more for pushing through that too and continuing to make games despite the blow in publicity.
In this game, we play as Wendy
. She seems to be walking through the house of the developer's friend, learning about the events that transpired, and the deep depression he went through.
Red Circle
Once you get the Purple Key for the second floor hallway, if you enter the corresponding door, you should see an empty room with the number 380
on the wall.
This is your only hint towards solving this puzzle, and it's more of a speedrun challenge!
To get the shape to appear here, you must reach this room fast enough, within a time of "380" in game time. This number, however, becomes more or less difficult depending on how many frames your game is running at. The faster your frames are, the less time you have to beat the game, grab the purple key from the attic, and make it to the purple door.
Its possible this time was meant to be around 6 or 7 minutes, but this is purely speculation.
Blue Triangle
If you are good about it, and refuse to save until you get to the second room that has a save option, there's a door that will open to you on the right given that you don't save till this point.
There will be skulls on the ground in the pattern of RRLRL
.
In the Attic there is a 2-wide dresser where if you interact with said dresser from behind, there will be a strange clicking sound.
If you interact with the back of the dresser in the order found in the skull room, it will reveal numbers by the candles just below in this room.
- 3 -
4 7
2 6
8 1
- 5 -
There is a code you can find in the room just before the attic that reveals the code 67 24
overlayed on top of each other. This code is your statue order in the Artistic Room.
Once you interact with the statues in that order, make your way back to the attic to interact with the statue in the bottom right corner of the candles last.
Once that's complete, the Triangle will appear back in the Artistic room in the center.
Yellow Square
You need to enable a flame in the darkness area that's blocked by one of the Slider enemies.
To bypass the blocking man, you can't get caught by anything that chases you.
You can't be seen by the hunter in the orange room, in the birdcage version of the upstairs, or by any of the "slider" enemies going through the slider route.
Supposedly, if done correctly, the slider that's standing in front of the blue flame on the right side in the darkness area where you can turn on the special lights for the attic
If done correctly, and logic was done correctly, if screenshots are to be believed, the Yellow Square should be found in the clock room past the sliders in the artistic route in the upper right corner.
No images will be provided, since I currently believe it is impossible to achieve this under "Normal" means.
Green Diamond
It's currently speculated that the Green Diamond is related to the ominous "Disc 2" that's alluded to at the end of the game.
In the save files for the game, there is a But....txt
that says: How do you get Disc 2?
It is unclear how to solve this puzzle, however as mentioned by some fans of this developers work, it is possible that this refers an unknown Steam Beta key. It had apparently been used as a puzzle mechanic in some of their previous work, and I have good reason to believe that this may actually be the case.
Till the Steam Beta key is found, this puzzle will remain unsolved.
Notes
- In the first room you encounter the monster, there is a cabinet in the bottom left corner of the room that states:
L9 U3 R1 U7 R1 U3 L3 U5
- This is a path that can be walked down in the room before the candle attic.
